He said ENTRACO would no longer tolerate any act that would deface Owerri, the city with filth and shanties, adding that several warnings on the issue have been given to them on both Electronic and Print media without compliance.
The General Manager maintained that the Commission would commence enforcement of these directives at the expiration of the one week notice and called for their cooperation.
Responding on behalf of the traders Mr. Raymond Amanze-Njoku from the Imo State University junction commended the General Manager for the meeting to inform them of the Commission’s decision and assured him that they would comply with the directives.
Another trader Mrs. Ijeoma Ifechukwu from Port-Harcourt Road by Teachers House said they were happy with the decision and appealed that the enforcement be strictly on defaulters and not to witch hunt the perceived enemies of the enforcement officers.
