Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Community Engagement, Hon. Barr. Chioma Nweze, has said that the Renewed Hope Initiatives had created and launched programs that empower citizens, especially youths, as well as promote businesses, peace, security, and relaxation.


he SA to the President made this disclosure in a speech she delivered during the City Boys Movement Stakeholders’ Engagement Program held at Protea Hotel Owerri on Saturday.

Nweze who was ably represented at the event by the Imo Coordinator, Office of the SSA to the President on Community Engagement, Hon. Okereke Godson Bishop, reflected that the policies of the APC led federal government are human oriented, agenda she added are being implemented and benefitted by citizens.

According to her, the Renewed Hope Agenda has created huge opportunities for youths to succeed in the areas of self – development, entrepreneurship and digital intelligence, saying by supporting entrepreneurship and job creation, the regime enables youths to start, grow their businesses, create jobs and wealth for themselves and others, remarking that the feat had not only reduced unemployment, but also contributes to the growth and development of the economy.
Barr. Chioma Nweze who said she is well pleased with the leadership style of the President, said “we are living in a new era where every citizen; youths and women can be proud of being a Nigerian. President Tinubu’s administration is working tirelessly to achieve the goal of a new Nigeria where we will be a producing nation, rather than a consuming nation”.

She stressed that the vision is driven by the President’s commitment to economic growth, infrastructure, and human capital development and focusing on these key areas, Tinubu has created a more prosperous and sustainable future for citizens and future generations.
“The President’s agenda prioritizes youth inclusion, empowerment and economic growth. One of the key initiatives is the NELFUND Project, which provides Free Education to all Nigerian youth, ensures that no citizen stays out of school due to financial constraints. This initiative will not only increase access to education, but also improves quality of education and enhances the employability of our youths. With NELFUND, we can empower our youths to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in their chosen careers”, Nweze said.
Also, Nweze noted that the Renewed Hope Agenda has approved significant financial grants to support youth development. “For instance, the N5 billion MSME Fund with Sterling Bank which aims to boost entrepreneurship and job creation among youths. Additionally, the conditional grant scheme provides N50,000 each to nano businesses across 774 local government areas and N500,000 for business start-ups” and currently the skill up southeast has demonstrated the president commitment through the office of the SSA on community engagement Southeast, as over hundreds of youths are on a training programme in Ebonyi state as we speak and will be empowered with start up kicks afterward.
She hinted that Tinubu has demonstrated its commitment to youth inclusion and empowerment through various appointments, affirming that the President has supported the “Not Too Young To Run Bill” to enhance youth political inclusion, which she said reflects in the appointment of young ministers, including the Minister of Youth, Interior, and Economy.
“Over 90% of the President’s Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants are notably young people, demonstrating his commitment to youth leadership and participation. The administration has also provided development programs that have equipped youths with the prerequisite skills needed to compete in the global economy, digital literacy and technical skills training are essential components of the President’s agenda.
“By building Nigeria’s technical talent backbone, our youths can compete in the global economy and drive innovation and entrepreneurship. This has enabled our youths to develop cutting-edge solutions to complex problems, creating new opportunities for economic growth and development, which has been reflected in our GDP.
“The President recognizes the importance of security and governance in driving economic growth and development. The administration is indeed implementing security reforms to improve safety and security across the country and governance reforms to promote transparency, accountability and good governance.
“By creating a secure and stable environment, we can attract investment, promote economic growth and improve the quality of life for all Nigerians. Despite the oppositions distractions and sponsorship of some set of criminal elements, the President has remained focused on addressing security challenges across the six geopolitical zones.
“As we look to the future, we expect even more innovative initiatives and programs that will further empower Nigerian youths. We anticipate increased investment in education, entrepreneurship and job creation, which will enable our youths to contribute even more significantly to the growth and development of our nation”, Nweze emphasized.
She reiterated that President Tinubu’s “agenda for youths is a comprehensive and inclusive framework that offers actionable opportunities for youths to succeed. By focusing on education, economic empowerment and leadership development, we can enhance employability, foster entrepreneurship and promote national progress, unity and collective prosperity. I urge all Nigerian youths to seize these opportunities, take ownership of their future and contribute to the growth and development of our nation”.
While applauding leaders of City Boy Movement for positively engaging the youth of Imo State and reminding them about the need to solidify their support for the President and voting him in 2027, the SA to the President adjudged the program as educating, motivating and endearing.
“Let us work together to build a brighter future for ourselves and our nation. Now is the time to act, now is the time to thrive. Thank you”, she said.
