THE STRIVAD FOUNDATION (TSF) calls for nomination of persons for 2024 Teachers Award

In a bid to encourage and support teachers for their pedagogical impact, THE STRIVAD FOUNDATION (TSF) has called for nomination of qualified teachers for the 2024 TSF-Nze Sir Raphael O. Iro Memorial Teachers Merit Award.
Speaking to newsmen, the Director, Programs Development of the Foundation, Dr. Sir. Tobias Nwokocha hinted that the award which comes yearly targets to encourage and support the contributions that teachers are making in raising and impacting their generation.
“The TSF-Nze Sir Raphael O. Iro Memorial Teachers Merit Award will select six qualified teacher-nominees from the public schools. Three persons will be selected for active teachers in service while three will be selected from retired teachers across the nation”.

He noted that the selection process will be done by panel of experts that will painstakingly adhere to the laid down guidelines for the selection. “Year of service, commitment, and sustainable impact of the teacher is key”.
Dr. Nwokocha pointed out that the nomination will include a brief profile and Curriculum vitae (CV) of the nominee, highlighting why the nominee is considered committed and deserving teacher. He said the deadline for submission is slated for September 30, 2024 while encouraging individuals to take advantage of the novel idea while it lasts. He urged interested individuals to send in their nomination to programs@thestrivadfoundation.org or info@thestrivadfoundation.org or visit their office at Plot 470 Works Layout, Owerri to submit their nomination application.
In his comment, the Senior Programs Officer (Admin), Mr. Samuel Chikere said THE STRIVAD FOUNDATION (TSF) which is an internationally recognized charitable non-governmental organization has continued to change the lives of hardworking teachers both serving and retired, stressing that there will also be consolation prizes for those that made the selection process.
He called on interested individuals to key into the laudable project which is the Foundation’s way of giving back to society as part of its contribution to enhancing the dignity of life. “Indeed, we believe that service to humanity is the best work of life”.
