Super Eagles Technical Adviser Gernot, Rohr has released the names of a thirty man provisional list ahead of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The list showed that Rohr kept faith with all the players that qualified the country for the 2018 FIFA World Cup but left out Henry Onyekuru who is based in Beligium. Only three home based players Junior Lokosa, Dele Ajiboye and Ikechukwu Ezenwa made the list.

The list has four goal-keepers, ten defenders, eight midfielders and eight strikers will vie for positions in the final twenty-three man squad that will presecute the World Cup in Russia which kicks off on the 14th of next month.

The players will be led by the team’s captain Mikel Obi.

Similarly, Argentina on Monday released the list of thirty-five man squad for the World Cup in Russia.

The list consists of four goalkeepers, eleven defenders, thirteen midfielders and seven attackers.

The list also included three debutants some of the notable players in the list included, Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, Gonzalo Higuain goalkeeper, Wilfredo Caballero and Javier Mascherano.

Another Super Eagles appointment in the 2018 World Cup Croatia has also released its thrity-five man provisional list for the World Cup.

Topping the list are Real Madrid’s midfielder Luca Modric and Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic.

Like other teams, Croatia list is made up of four goalkeepers, twelve defenders eight midfielders and eight strikers.

Super Eagles will battle Croatia in the first group D match of the Russia World on the 16th of next month and face Argentina on the 26th in the last group game.

On the home scene, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Sports, Mrs. Rosemary Izuogu has charged players of Heartland Queens FC to be focus and committed in their Wednesday’s Women Premier League match against Rivers Angels in Port-Harcourt.

Mrs. Izuogu who is in charge of the club, stated this while addressing the players and their officials before the left Owerri for Port Harcourt ahead of the match.

She urged them to reciprocate the state government’s investments on the club and assured them that their welfare will always be given top priority by her Ministry.

In the same vein, Urashi United defeated Pakat FC in the first round of this year’s State FA competition to qualify for the quarter finals. Papilo FC also qualified for the quarter finals after defeating Ugwumba George Eche FC by six goals to five through penalties after a goaless draw at the end of the match.

The Chairman of Ugwumba George Eche FC, Mr. Victor Imafidon, commended his payers for given their opponent a good fight.

The competition has entered into their quarter final stage.
