Rehabilitate Umuonyeali-Ugo Mbieri Industrial Market Road – Drivers Tells Gov Ihedioha
By Ikenna Orioha

Drivers Welfare Club of Umuonyeali-Ugo, Ihitte Isi Mbieri, Mbaitoli local government area, Imo State, has called on the State Government led by Governor Emeka Ihedioha to urgently rehabilitate the deplorable Umuonyeali-Ugo Industrial Market Road to ease movement as well as encourage buying and selling at the Market.
This request was made by the Chairman of Umuonyeali-Ugo Drivers Welfare Club, Comrade Vitalis Igbokwe, in an interview with pressman who visited the community recently.
Igbokwe stated that because of the deplorable state of Umuonyeali-Ugo Industrial Market Road and Mbieri/Akwakuma Road, activities at the area go slowly, retarding development and causing accident.
“Let government help us by rehabilitating the deplorable roads so that business, social and formal activities will move on, as well as reduce traffic, accident and encourage development. We suffer a lot due to bad roads.
” From Hadel to Akwakwuma road, they are bad. Erosion has submerged the roads and they may collapse if nothing drastic is done to reconstruct the roads. In line with the policy of Governor Emeka Ihedioha on rebuilding Imo State, Drivers Welfare Club of Umuonyeali-Ugo is appealing to the listening Governor to come to our help to make our lives more memorable and meaningful”.
The Drivers frowned that the Umuonyeali-Ugo Industrial Market Road has been deplorable to the extent of causing accident which results to damage of property and fracas while calling on the Coordinator of the Market and other relevant groups to take the responsibility of putting the Market in proper shape in order to grow the Market.
Obviously, vehicles have been fallen on the road especially that of Industrial or Timbre Market road, disrupting movement and igniting pains and penury.

But recently, a truck which loaded timbre from Warri, Delta State, almost fell down at the entrance of the Umuonyeali-Ugo Industrial Market, delaying offloading of the goods it was carrying.
At this end, we all call on the governor of Imo State, Right Honourable Emeka Ihedioha to repair and reconstruct the road to alleviate the suffering of the people.
