ProHealth HMO Lauds Gov. Uzodimma for Hosting World Class Imo Economic Summit
The management of Prohealth HMO Limited has saluted the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, for successfully hosting a world class Imo Economic Summit.


He said the event has repositioned the State for accelerated economic growth and investment.
The summit, held in Owerri, on Thursday and Friday, attracted local and international investors, top business leaders, policymakers, development agencies and representatives of organized private sectors.
Leading the Prohealth HMO delegation to the Summit was the Regional Manager for the South East Zone, Dr. Moses Odeghe, who described the summit as germane and impactful, adding that the deliberations and agreements reached at the event could significantly change the economic landscape of Imo State.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after the summit, Dr. Odeghe said the summit was not just another conference but one with focus to change the economic narratives of the state.
“What we saw in Owerri was a world class economic summit with clear direction and vision. Governor Hope Uzodimma has shown commitment to transforming Imo into a competitive investment hub and Prohealth HMO is proud to be part of this success story.”
According to Prohealth, the economic gains from the summit are expected to unfold in several sectors, Increase investor confidence, expands infrastructure, creates jobs, grows small and medium enterprises, improves the health sector.
Odeghe noted that the presence of major investors and development partners at the summit sent a strong signal that Imo is open for business and investment, saying the discussions around agriculture, healthcare, technology, tourism, manufacturing and energy were robust and future-oriented, adding that the State is now better positioned to attract both foreign and local investment.
The Prohealth HMO maintained that the summit has opened new windows of opportunity for entrepreneurs and established businesses in the State.
“With the government’s renewed interest in supporting enterprises, business owners now have increased access to partnerships, funding channels and a more business-friendly regulatory environment,”
“Healthy citizens are essential for a productive economy and Prohealth is ready to strengthen healthcare access for workers and their families. Prohealth HMO reiterated its readiness to support Imo’s development through expanding health insurance coverage, partnerships with government institutions, promoting preventive healthcare, tailored HMO plans for corporate and small businesses.

Prohealth HMO will continue to work with the State and the private sector to ensure affordable and quality healthcare for all”, hailed the governor for his vision and consistency in driving development, saying the summit has set Imo State on a new economic path.
“The 2025 Imo Economic Summit will be remembered as the turning point. It has energized the business environment and inspired confidence among stakeholders.
“Prohealth HMO expressed optimism that with sustained policy implementation and collaboration, Imo State will witness remarkable improvements across all sectors”, he stressed.
