Procurement Workshop:<br>Adikibe, Ifunanya extol Uzodimma
By Onyinyechi Nwankwo…
As the 3 days Sustainable Procurement Training for local government Executive Chairmen and other LG principal officers came to a wrap, the Imo State Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) Chairman and Executive Chairman, Oru West LGA, Engr. Ikenna Adikibe and the Executive Chairman of Mbaitolu LGA, Hon. Ifunanya Nwanegwo have extolled the Imo State government for organizing the workshop.

The duo, in an interview with journalists, at the close of the training in Owerri recently, thanked Governor Hope Uzodimma specially for making the workshop a reality, appreciating the state Bureau of Public Procurement and Price Intelligence for impacting them with great knowledge on procurement processes.

Adikibe stressed that acquiring knowledge in any field is essential and paramount for professionalism, citing that God Almighty in the scriptures says that His people perish for lack of knowledge and so no amount for acquiring knowledge should be seen as huge.
He affirmed that they were properly educated, having received fresh information on procurement processes that would save them from the risk of imprisonment if not carried out properly.
Ifunanya affirmed that the 27 LG Executive Chairmen who participated in the training indeed benefitted immensely from the workshop, stating that they were afforded the opportunity to learn things they never knew and added to their knowledge.
However, Ifunanya assured the Governor of their continued unalloyed support throughout his administration.
