Prince Bob Njemanze, Others Honoured With Merit Awards By Old Peers Of Owerri Amidst Pomp

In Owerri, Imo state, on Monday 30th of December, 2024, the Old Peers of Owerri Developmental Initiative (OPDI) gathered to confer a prestigious merit award on the revered elder statesman, Prince Bob Njemanze.
The well attended ceremony held in Owerri was a testament to Prince Njemanze’s outstanding contributions to the socio- economic and cultural developments of Owerri and her people.
In a citation read during the ceremony, the organizers highlighted Prince Njemanze’s numerous achievements which have impacted on the community and state.
In his acceptance remark, the fiery public affairs analyst expressed his gratitude to the group for the recognition, promising to continue to work towards the improvement of the society.
The Old Peers of Owerri also gave merit awards to the deputy governor of Imo state, Lady Chinyere Ekomaru; the senator representing Owerri Senatorial district, Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi, former member of the federal house of representatives, Hon. Engr Ikenna Elezianya and others .
The event which was a well deserved recognition of Prince Bob Njemanze’s tireless efforts to promote the socio economic and cultural developments of Owerri and the entire state was well attended by dignitaries from various walks of life.
The recognition also serves as an inspiration to others to emulate Prince Bob Njemanze’s exemplary leadership and community service whose prominent voice is weighty in the societal discourse.
Prince Bob Njemanze who is known for not accepting merit awards on a matter of principle has emphasized the need to create memories of a common heritage,urging members of the Non- Governmental organisation to stay united as old faces on their platform as a group.He is identified with his thoughtful critiques.
