Paragon World Empowerment Foundation Honors Attah Igala, Sam Okwaraji, Empowers Others

In order to strengthen, encourage patriotism, mutual love and philanthropy, an NGO, Paragon World Empowerment Foundation, has bestowed an Honor Award on His Royal Majesty, Dr Michael Idakwo Ameh Oboni, Attah Igala, traditional ruler of Idah community and Chairman, Kogi State Traditional Rulers Council and the late Barrister Sam Okwaraji, who was an excellent footballer and great jurist with exemplary conduct, imbued with deep sense of benevolence and proclivity.

The 2019 Paragon World Empowerment Foundation Award Series, under the Distinguished Chairmanship of Engineer Prince Arthur Eze, Ozoigbo, Eze n'Ukpo and Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, Orient Oil & Gas, Enugu Royal, was held at the City Global Hotel, Owerri, on Saturday, with people across Imo and Kogi States honoring it.

His Royal Majesty, Dr Michael Idakwo Ameh Oboni, Attah Igala, a first-class traditional ruler, was honored with an Honor Award of "Life Patron of Paragon World Empowerment Foundation", based on his benevolence to humanity and contributions to the peace of the society. Whereas the late Barr Sam Okwaraji, a star footballer who hailed from Umudioka Village, Orlu, Imo State, was posthumously adorned with "Benevolent Heart" Award due to his devotion and sacrifice to the growth of the nation.

Conferring the Honor Awards to the awardees, President of Paragon World Empowerment Foundation, Lady Princess Roseline Njideka Nwanesi, stated that the Accolade is provoked on their sterling contributions to lift the society positively through their benevolences to the less- privileged and sacrificial efforts to the edification of the society.

Princes Nwanesi, who described the Attah Igala as a good and pragmatic traditional ruler with benevolence qualities of helping many people to calve a niche for themselves who are today giving back goodies to their clime, stressed that Attah Igala merits his recognition as Life Patron of the Paragon World Empowerment Foundation which she hinted has been affecting lives positively, promoting peace and security.

The philanthropist emphasizes that the posthumous honor of "Benevolent Heart" on Sam Okwaraji who was abandoned by the Federal Government having died in a pitch of football, playing for the nation, at Surulere, Lagos State, has the objective of encouraging resourcefulness among women and youths especially to rekindle the hope of his family, pledging to help his helpless mother access medication.

Nwanesi heartily expressed delight of the humanitarian service the foundation has been rendering to the people especially those who are relegated to the ground, saying the NGO is overwhelmed by the humanitarian qualities of the awardees hence their recognition, informing that the charity organization is not profit, political, religious and tribalistic based having assisted the needy out of poverty and hardship, reflecting that the NGO started in 2006 and has given "agricultural aids to over 800 widows in Anambra, Imo, Abia, Akwa Ibom, Ebonyi, Ogun, Kwara, Kogi and Jigawa States through the provisions of seedlings, fertilizer, parcels of land and funds and many others".

Appreciating Attah Igala and his retinue, Sam Okwaraji's family for honouring the Award Series, the National Secretary of PWEF, Comrade Agu Brian Diamond, said Igala people are peaceful, friendly and have been working cordially with Igbo people and commended Dr Moses Ajaka, former Security Adviser to Chief Achike Udenwa, for attracting Attah Igala to Imo State, praying for God's sustenance and direction.

Attah Igala, while thanking the NGO for finding him worthy for the medal of honor, reassured of giving benevolence to the needy to encourage peace and security and even development.

"I'm totally flabbergasted by the award because it was divinely inspired. I promise to serve God better throughout my life. I'm now going to be a Priest of Paragon World Empowerment Foundation. Igala and Igbo have been friends, it was Britain who came and divided us by creating boundaries. Let mutual love and benevolence continue to reign supremely".

Thus, the family of late Barrister Sam Okwaraji who received his award through Chidozie Achonwa, appreciated the chivalry organization for the recognition of the late ace footballer and great lawyer, thanking God for using PWEF and Imo State Government led by Governor Emeka Ihedioha to reduce their pains and abandonment by the Federal authority.

The foundation is calling on all well- meaning individuals to lend their support so that it continues to grow while touching lives positively.
