By Eleugu Mgbemgasa…

As the country marked democracy day, Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, has been described as a pure democrat due to his democratic touch across the state.
Speaking in Owerri during Democracy Day Celebration, the Sole Administrator of Oru West Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Willie TC Okolieogwo, stated that Democracy Day is worth celebrating in Imo State because the Shared Prosperity led government is truly exemplifying democracy in the state.
Okolieogwo who reflected that Uzodimma disposes wisdom, understanding, patriotism, goodness, godliness, leadership pragmatism, virtue, civility, agility, friendliness and conviviality, remarked that the Governor’s viable infrastructural drive especially on quality road construction and healthcare are landmarks which will strength development, as well as encourage productivity for improved economy in the state.
Identifying democracy as best form of government, as it allows people to freely participate in governance, Okolieogwo noted that the blueprints Uzodimma’s led administration has created are quite endearing and will always spur commercial activities and social comfort in the state.
The Oru West SOLAD reiterated that “Governor Hope Uzodimma is truly enlivening actual democracy in Imo State. His social amenities revolution especially road construction in Orlu, Owerri and Okigwe Senatorial Zones, building and equipping of hospitals, youth skill/ICT training and empowerment, regular payment of salaries to workers, urban renewal program, employment of 10,000 primary school teachers, among numerous laudable achievements are touch of democracy which will in due course edify the state, encourage citizens and visitors on resourcefulness, reduce crime and crisis”.
While praying for sustenance of democracy, rule of law and good leadership in the country, Okolieogwo urged the good people of Imo State to continue to support the 3R led administration, as well as reelect Uzodimma so that he upholds pure democracy for even development, peace, social comfort and security.
