Oji Ezinihitte Eziudo 2026: Ezi Umuokpu Eziudo Gburugburu invokes God’s blessings, prayers upon Eziudo Ancient Town
By Chigozie Uzosike…
As the ancient town of Eziudo in Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA hosted the 2026 Oji Ezinihitte on the 1st January at Central School Eziudo, a prestigious and internationally recognized association, Okpu Eziudo Global has offered prayers and benediction to God for the protection of the land and invoked blessings upon the land of Eziudo as the Oji Ezinihitte Eziudo held successfully.

Speaking during a rally/road walk around the vicinity of Nkwo Eziudo that preceded the event, the Convener of the association, Princess Philomena Adaugo Desmond-Ogugua noted that the association which houses the Umuokpu Eziudo from across the world had taken time to contribute their quota to the celebration of the Oji Ezinihitte being hosted by Eziudo. She said they will continue to support the growth and development of Eziudo from anywhere they are.
“In the course of the rally, we committed Eziudo communities, traditional rulers, ECDU and the people of Eziudo to God’s hand. When women pray, God answers. Our prayer is that the sustaining grace of God be bestowed upon the land of Eziudo while we pray that the celebration of Oji Ezinihitte begins and brings a new face of development to Eziudo Ancient Town.
Princess Philomena Adaugo Desmond-Ogugua led the Ezi Umuokpu Eziudo Gburugburu in their colorful attire to the Oji Ezinihitte as their presence was conspicuously felt even as they offered gifts to the Ezinihitte Traditional Rulers who are the organizers of the program.

They offered the benediction on the 31st December. The prayer was led by Okpu Pauline Ihionu Nwachukwu and a powerful conclusion by our “Onunaekwuruoha” Okpu Eziudo Gburugburu, Lady Callista Otulaka Osondu.

They gave gift of a carton of brandy made by our brother Innocent Onwunali, the CEO of Iki Leads Limited, 2 baskets of Ugba , 2 baskets of Usu and topped it with #1,550.00m to the Ezinihitte Traditional Rulers. On the 2nd of January, Okpu Eziudo Global distributed wrappers to five widows from each of the 16 villages that make up Eziudo Town. The wrapper distributed was courtesy of our First Lady Dr. Barrister Chioma Hope Uzodinma to Princess Philomena Adaugo Desmond-Ogugua which was given to Eziudo women in the name of Okpu Eziudo Global.
This is our Ala Eziudo Hospitality- Eziudo Mara Mma! Obodo Oma Chineke! Obodo Chineke Goziri!
Okpu Eziudo! Okpu! Ezinwanne Amaka”.
