NYCN Encourages Youths on Hardwork, Excellence

Youths have been encouraged to always work hard in order to explore positive opportunities that will propel them to better living while being submissive to authorities with steadfastness to godly activities.

This is advocated by the Imo State chapter Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Comrade Isidor Chukwuemeka when he led some Imo youths to participate in the 9th Lecture Series for Emeka Anyaoku on Good Governance and Book Presentation organised by the Imo State Government, held in Owerri, on Thursday.

Chukwuemeka affirms he believes that youths who constitute a larger population of the society can make it good in life if they work productively and efficiently with patriotism and sincerity of purpose.

According to him "if youths can explore better opportunities by being efficient, productive, Godly, law- abiding and loyal to authorities, they will live well."

The Youth Leader further called on both the federal and state governments to cue into the talents and visions of the Nigerian youth in order to win them over to the good side of live for them to wholeheartedly shun social vices without delay.

Yes, youths are catalysts for society development and should be supported by the government to grow. Many men who are doing well today in the country started even well as youths. So, let government always do the needful to empower youths in all areas.Youths are capable and have been demonstrating solid capacity to the good of the country".

The Imo NYCN Chairman while urging the youth to shun bad company, vice and thuggery to be able to lift themselves from poverty and hardship, appealed to them to continue to be of good charge in order to live successfully, peacefully and comfortably at all times”.

Comrade Chukwuemeka did not mince his words as he appreciated Imo youths for coming out en masse to accord due honour to the former Commonwealth Secretary- General, Chief Chukwuemeka Anyaoku, of Igbo origin, who he sees as a renowned diplomat who had done noble to Africa and the world in general, wishing him sound health.

Also, NYCN hailed Governor Emeka Ihedioha for organizing the Lecture Series in honor of Emeka Anyaoku even as it advised youths and the political class to emulate him for the good of Imo State and Africa in general.

The Chief Emeka Anyaoku 9th Lecture Series and Book Presentation saw many people across the country participating, including Governor Emeka Ihedioha, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, Chief Achike Udenwa, Chief Ikedi Ohakim, Prof Ben Nwabueze, government functionaries, youths with Dr Reuben Abati and Senator Sani Shehu delivering key lectures on the theme “Youths and Challenges Of Development: The Nigerian Reality”.
The event was memorable.
