NUJ South East Lauds Uzodimma on Improved Security, Infrastructure …Urges South East Governors to Follow Footprints

The Zonal Executive Council (ZEC) of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), South East (Zone C) led by Comrade Ezenwa Adiuku has commended Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma for his leadership and developmental strides in the state, while urging other Governors from the zone to emulate him to ensure complete peace and safety in the zone.

The ZEC made the remarks in a communique issued after its Zonal meeting held in Owerri, the Imo state capital recently.

The ZEC specially extolled the friendly disposition of Governor Uzodimma towards the media sector, as the State had hosted NUJ Triennial Delegates Conference, Nigerian Guild of Editors, NAWOJ National Executive Council Meeting, among others.

The Zonal Delegates however unanimously endorsed Owerri to be the host of the South East 2026 Security and Economic Media Summit, adding that Governor Uzodimma has shown capacity beyond words in fighting insecurity and boosting the economy of the state hence the state will serve as a haven for the summit.

The ZEC Delegates while speaking on insecurity across the nation, called on the Governors of South East region to continue to work in collaboration with security agencies in putting more efforts at curbing the menace especially at this Yuletide to ensure safety in the festive period.
