Nov 11 Election: ALGON Chairman tells Alliance of Youth Organizations to strive for Uzodimma’s 2nd Mandate
By Eleugu Mgbemgasa…
Oru West Sole Administrator and Chairman of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Amb. Willie TC Okolieogwo, has told youths to make sure that they strive harder towards Uzodimma’s second mandate in the November 11 2023 governorship election in Imo State.
He also appealed to the youth to leave no stone unturned from being catalysts of peace and security in their homes, domains, villages and communities, as when there is total peace, tranquility and cooperation, social advancement and economic prosperity would be strengthened to the advantage of all persons, because investment will always thrive in an environment of peace, calmness and conviviality.
Okolieogwo gave the urge when he administered Oath of Allegiance to the leadership of Alliance of Youth Organizations of Imo State, during the official inauguration of the group, held at Imo Youth Centre in Owerri, on Tuesday.
The Sole Administrator of Oru West told the leaders of the Alliance to always work in line with the laws of the organization to move forward and achieve objective which he added is to reelect Governor Hope Uzodimma as governor in the November 11 2023 guber election.
He reminded them of the need to reach out to other Imo youths for overwhelmed electoral victory, enjoining them to clamour for peace, security, progress and economic prosperity in the state. “Coordinate Imo youths to do the right things and give their firm support to the reelection of Governor Hope Uzodimma”.
According to him, “keep preaching the good news of Uzodimma’s achievements to the people across the state. Of course, Imo is good under Uzodimma. Be focused. Do the needful. With him being at the Douglas House, the future of Imo youths is secured. More development will be put in place to encourage productivity/resourcefulness and conviviality. More federal government presence will be felt in Imo because the Governor is in good faith with the ruling APC, the President, Presidency and the National Assembly. Is only Uzodimma who can link Imo to the centre, because he has capacity and political will”.
Okolieogwo who said he was happy of how these various youth support groups formed alliance to work for the victory of the Governor in the forthcoming guber poll, called on the people of Owerri and Okigwe Senatorial Zones to respect the Charter of Equity to instill political stability, peace, security and development in Imo State.
