The Department of State Security, DSS has approved the number of media outfits to cover the trial of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on 26th July, 2021.
Making the list are five national newspapers and Television houses among which is the Nigeria Television Authority, NTA and the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN.
Meanwhile, reactions has started trailing the accredited number of media houses to cover the trial.
Many said it is a calculated way of gagging the press as there are many other media outfits to have been accredited for the constitutional function, while others see nothing wrong with it.
