Nigeria @60: AHCN Felicitates With Nigerians, Resolved to Offer Affordable Housing

By Dr. Victor Onukwugha

As we celebrate our 60th independence anniversary today, it is a day to reflect on the ups and downs of our journey to nationhood. We have weathered through the storms against all odds, to be where we are today as a nation and a free people.

Great nation’s are known for the availability and accessibility of basic human needs to it’s citizenry. Every Nigerian needs access to quality resources, in order to give out the best in contributing our quota to nation building.

The role of housing in the development of a nation cannot be over-emphasized. Today, the housing deficit in the country stands at over 17 million housing units, this requires urgent attention to prevent an exponential increase in this number. It is time to join hands together and ensure we achieve affordable housing for all Nigerians by 2030.

Together we can.

On behalf of the Association of Housing Corporations of Nigeria, AHCN, I wish all Nigerians happy Golden Jubilee.

Dr. Victor C. Onukwugha is the President/Chairman of Council, AHCN).
