Imo YPP State Woman Leader Describes Girl Child As Home Builder, Calls For Prosecution of Molesters
By ThankGod Emeh…
The State Woman Leader of the Young Progressives Party, YPP, Imo state, Ambassador Chika Uju has decried the neglect and bad treatment melted on girl children across the globe, especially in third world countries where they are denied a voice to speak as well as forced to go through inhumane situations on a daily basis both in hands and care of family members and guardians while calling on Human Rights Activists to always be on watch to take up any reported issue of maltreatment.
Ambassador Uju who doubles as a Journalist and Activist made the call recently to mark the Global Girl Child Day commemorated every 11th October and after seeing a number of disturbing videos of maltreatment of women and female children making rounds online.
She emphasized that a girl child should be given a voice to speak and not be abandoned or discriminated in society while encouraging every girl child not to lose hope as the fight for total liberation is underway, pointing out that they are wonderful creatures, “blessing to families” as well as gifts to mankind.
She said, “Girl child is like well of oil, that if well harnessed, will generate a great wealth to the family and society in general”
“She should not be abandoned or discriminated in the society but built and given a sense of belonging”
The notable woman leader further stressed that the girl child should be nurtured and roundly supported to stand in all directions other than being marginalized even in offices.
“The girl child should be trained to tertiary education. She should not be marginalized even in the offices”
“The physically challenged among them should be loved and cared for. They Should not be molested no matter the circumstances in which they find themselves in, instead, her voice should be heard”, she added.
Ambassador Uju while commenting on mothers and guardians manhandling their children and wards, decried the ugly situation and called on security agents to arrest and prosecute them as none is above the law.
“The mothers and Guardians should be jailed or taken to rehabilitation centres and the child/children should be taken from such heartless beings”, Ambassador Uju concluded.
