Interim Management Committee Chairman of Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State, Honourable Ezeruo Damian, says the Council pays salaries of staff regularly as allocation comes, in regard to the welfare policy and transparency of the Rebuild Imo administration championed by Governor Emeka Ihedioha.
Ezeruo affirms he believes in the Welfare Policy of the present government, hence regular payment of salary to workers of Ohaji Egbema local government council who have been working hard and relating cordially with Management with strong support to the PDP led administration in the State.
Clarifying journalists who accosted him in Owerri on Monday, Ezeruo reflected that the workers have always been treated with love, care and respect which eluded them for eight years, saying he is sincere and cannot stoop low to embezzle or misappropriate funds meant for the council as being alleged by some mischief makers who are bent to occupy his position by all negative means.

He reiterated his sincerity and passion to the service of his people through good leadership which he aligned to Governor Emeka Ihedioha and the PDP.
“I’m sincere. We do not delay to solve problems of our people. We pay salary regularly. In order to increase the revenue of the State, the Governor encouraged us to build and equip Secretariat and Stadia at the local government Headquarters and soon Ohaji Egbema will complete theirs and we may even be the first to finish these projects”.

Ezeruo who is an astute PDP member, a pragmatic leader and politician, noted that Solar Light has been installed at Etekuru community with efforts being made to install electricity at all communities of the locality by government, saying insecurity is reducing at Ohaji Egbema as some roads are being cleared.
While commending the vision, meticulous attribute and efforts of Governor Emeka Ihedioha to rebuild Imo to enviable heights, for prosperity, Ezeruo thus appealed to the people of Ohaji Egbema to continue to live peacefully and orderly while lending their support to move the society forward.
Ezeruo did not mince his words as he advised his political opponents to stop maligning him especially in the media, because nothing could dislodge him from rendering quality service to his people who he said he cherishes and adores.
