Ndukwe Honoured With ‘Ike Mba 1 Of Egbema Kingdom’ Title …Advises youths to embrace culture, tradition

The youths of Egbema Ancient kingdom in Imo State, have been advised to embrace culture and traditions of the community.
The President of Egbema United Brothers Association Owerri Branch, Bright Ndukwe Chidozie, gave the advice shortly after he was honoured as ‘Ike Mba 1 Of Egbema Ancient kingdom’ at the community’s Iri-ji festival held recently.
He appreciated HRM Eze G.O.H Ariaga Nzeobi of Egbema Ancient kingdom and his community for spotting him out to be honored with a chieftaincy title to show appreciation towards his hard work, as he described himself as the youngest Chief among those that have been conferred in Egbema.

Ndukwe disclosed that Egbema United Brothers Association Owerri Branch, hosted the 2024 Iri-ji festival in order to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Egbema Alinso kingdom to the world, while describing himself as a child of grace to be the President of the association.

He urged youths of the community to continue to love one another, adding that it brings peace, progress and development.
Also speaking, Prince Uzoma Okereke, ‘Prince Of Etekwuru’ expressed delight for the honour bestowed on Bright Ndukwe Chidozie as ‘Ike Mba 1 Of Egbema Kingdom’, saying he has done well for the community and beyond.
He commended the association for deeming it fit to organize such a colourful event in Owerri, noting that it is a thing of joy seeing various communities coming together to celebrate their rich culture of Ndi Egbema Ancient kingdom to the world.
Lending his voice, the youth leader of Etekwuru community, Comrade Ikechukwu Nwadiogo, noted they are happy to cheer and celebrate with their brothers in Owerri that decided to showcase Egbema culture.
He described the Chieftaincy title been conferred to Bright Ndukwe Chidozie and Engr. Prince Michael Pacy and others as well deserved, while urging other Egbema sons and daughters to emulate the philanthropic gestures these people have rendered to the community.
Meanwhile the occasion was graced by dignitaries within and outside the State; who include the Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Hon. Cosmas Maduba, Commissioner for Tourism, Hospitality and Culture, Hon. Barr. Jerry Egemba, Chairman Ohaji/Egbema LGA, Hon. Marcel Amadioha, Hon. Kingsley Chukwu, Councilor Egbema Ward E Legislative Council, Traditional Rulers, among many other personalities.
