Igbo women are charged to uphold good principles as well as promote peace and love as they gather across Igboland to deliberate on developmental issues of concern.

The Founder of Uju Charity and Empowerment Initiative, UCEI Ambassador Chika Uju gave the charge in her 2025 August Meeting Goodwill Message to Igbo Women where she urged them to live up to the expectations of the revered annual meeting, to stamp their names in the sands of time as  home builders.

“I seize this opportunity to extend my greetings to Igbo women, mostly Imo State women during this year’s August general meeting of the women.

“I urge them not to relent in discharging their duties as home builders.

“Let there be peace, love and unity in their homes”

Ambassador Uju also charged the women to raise their children and wards in the fear and love of God and humanity, in order to be good ambassadors in society.

“Look after our youths and direct them right at all times and respect to their husband as the head.

She seized the opportunity to advocate for the rights of women in line with a significant part of the vision and mission of her foundation, calling on government, women and families not to marginalize women but train and empower them to be pillars and voices of hope in their generation.

“Girl child should not be toiled with. Teach her and her voice will be heard.

“Government should recognize women, accept them and give them opportunity to excel in all the organs of government.

“Women empowerment should be statutory.

“Appreciate the men and government for their continuous tolerance to the women”, Ambassador Uju stressed.
