Miriam Onuoha Re-elected, Vows To Consolidate Fair Representation
…extends olive branch to losers

Member who represents Okigwe North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Princess Miriam Onuoha, has been reelected. She contested under the platform of the APC.
According to the INEC Returning Officer, Miriam Onuoha got the highest ballots cast in the March 25th 2023 election to defeat her opponents, Hon. Chikwem Onuoha of Labour Party and Hon. Obinna Onwubuariri of the PDP.
Onuoha had extended olive branch to her opponents who she begged to embrace peace, work with her to move Okigwe North Federal Constituency forward.
In a Victory Party she threw for the people of Okigwe North especially those who supported her prior to, during and after the poll, held at the Rockview Hotel Owerri on Wednesday, Onuoha said the victory came as a result of her achievements, good rapport with the people of Okigwe North, her gains on human capital development, sterling performance and the promotion of fair and good governance for enhanced peace, comfort and good living.
According to the lawmaker, “I am committed to ensure that Okigwe North is better. We are fully supporting Governor Hope Uzodimma to intensify good governance and fair representation because the cause and goodness of Okigwe North Federal Constituency and Imo State matter most. The Wellbeing and welfare of our people must be considered and giving priority attention. Everyone will be carried along in the scheme of things. Let all hands be on the deck to meet the needs and aspirations of Okigwe North people”.


She added that the Labour Party candidate, Chikwem Onuoha, “is not our problem. He is learned and sensible that his input is needed and welcomed. We are going to partner and work with Obinna Owubualiri and Chikwem Onuoha’s media structures to help advance goodies in our Federal Constituency. And together we can achieve greater heights for our people”.
