Imo Journalists Congratulates Gov Uzodinma, Enjoins Him to Live Up to Expectations

The lmo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ congratulates the new Governor of the State, Senator Hope Uzodinma and Deputy Governor, Professor Placid Njoku on their victory at the Supreme Court as the Authentic and duly elected Governor and Deputy Governor of Imo State.
The Council conveyed the goodwill message in a press release issued by the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Imo State Council, Chief Chris Akaraonye shortly after the Supreme Court Declaration and swearing in of Governor Uzodinma on Wednesday, January 15, 2020.
According to the release, the Imo NUJ enjoined Governor Uzodinma to bring to bear all machinery of success while noting his benevolence and outstanding achievements in public and private sectors would help in moving the state to greater heights.
“We offer warmest congratulations to Your Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodinma and His Excellency, the Deputy Governor, Prof. Placid Njoku on your declaration and swearing in as the Governor and Deputy Governor at Imo state by the Supreme Court of Nigeria”
“We note with delight your Excellency’s outstanding achievements both in your private capacity and public place and we know your Excellency will bring these exceptional attributes to bear on the governance of lmo State”
“As a large hearted man. we are rest assured your Excellency will run an all-inclusive government as well as develop lmo state socio-economically”, the Council added.
The Imo NUJ while recalling the contributions of Governor Hope Uzodinma in the statein particular and country at large in the past as a senator, before he became governor described him as a go-getter and assured him of support.
“We shall not fail to recall your Excellency’s positive disposition to Journalists in the State which prompted your Excellency to donate a brand new 18 Seater Toyota Hummer bus to the NUJ Imo state Council some years ago which is the only source of movement of the Union now”
“While felicitating with your Excellency on this phenomenal accomplishments. we pledge the unalloyed support at the Council to your Excellency’s administration”
The Council prayed God to shower Governor Uzodinma and Deputy, Prof. Njoku with the wisdom to govern the state and move it to greater heights.
“We pray that God will guide and protect your Excellency in govening the State. Kindly accept the assurance of highest consideration”.
