Lawyers Demand Justice over Gruesome Killing of Magistrate in Imo.

Lawyers in Imo state have taken to the streets of Owerri, the capital of Imo state demanding justice over the gruesome killing of a High Court Magistrate by unknown gun men.
Speaking to journalists, the Chairman, Nigeria Bar Association, Owerri branch, Barrister Damian Onwubiko Nosike, narrated that the Magistrate, RC Oguh (jnr), was abducted on his way to see his parents at Orlu by unknown gunmen who mercilessly killed him on 23rd November, 2018.
Nosike while regretting the killing, expressed fear about the safety of the bar and bench hence called on the state government to offer them security, vehicles and other necessary equipment to guard them from attack as they discharge their constitutional duty.
While demanding for prompt arrest and prosecution of the killers of the Seating High Court Magistrate, the Chairman NBA, Orlu branch, Barrister Chuzzy Attama urged the authorities to end rascality and hardship that militate the society negatively for safety and peace.
“IG of Police Find Killers of RC Oguh(jnr) Now!!!, We Demand Security for The Courts and Judiciary, The Temple of Justice is Under Attack. Imo State Government, Provide Security for our Judges. Stop the Killing of Magistrates. End Attack on Our Judges Now!!!”, decried the learned people as they protest displaying their placards.
