As the people of Ilile community, Ohaji/Egbema local government area, Imo State, were thrown into mourning over the gruesome killing of 5 innocent persons of the area, Deputy Governor of Imo State, Gerald Irona, has condemned the killing, describing it as dastard act.

Irona, while regretting the barbaric killing perpetrated by the unknown cultists from the pit of hell, said violence bedevilling the oil and gas bearing areas of Imo State was being fueled by the former Governor, Rochas Okorocha who he accused of arms proliferation with the abysmal use of gullible Ohaji/ Egbema and Oguta boys and men to do violence.

The Deputy Governor who had audience with the Niger Delta Media Forum, NMDF, at his Office, Government House, Owerri, on Thursday, recounted that the “killings and criminality rampant at the Niger Delta Region is as a result of arms proliferation by past government abysmally led by Okorocha to the gullible men and boys of ISOPADEC who are today using the arms against their own people.”
