Imo NUJ Felicitates With Uzodinma on SUN Governor Award

The Chairman, Executive and members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Imo State Council have congratulated the Imo state Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma on his award of the ‘SUN Governor of the year’ by SUN Newspapers.
The Union in a felicitation letter signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the state Council, Chief Christopher Akaraonye and Lady Juilet Dim said the award is well deserved and coming at time when there are projects on ground to show for it in all aspects.
While emphasizing on challenges at some sections and sectors of the state on assumption of office including the COVID-19 Pandemic outbreak, infrastructure decay, insecurity and nonpayment of arrears of salary and pensions of workers and pensioners among others, the Council noted that “Governor Uzodinma faced the situation with the heart of a lion and rose up to the occasion”
The Union urge the Governor not to renege in delivering the dividends of democracy to Imo people and prayed for greater heights in the service of the people.
