Imo IPAC G12 Disassociates Self From Impersonation, To Hold “Imo Security Summit”
By ThankGod Emeh…

Majority members of the Inter Party Advisory Council, IPAC, Imo state Chapter known as G12 led by Elder Anthony Ahaneku has disassociated themselves from the programmes and activities of the suspended Chairman of the Council Ichie Levi Eke and his cohorts.
According to records, Ichie Levi Eke and some members of Imo IPAC who are impersonating the Council, having opened a different account in the name of Imo IPAC and using same to defraud unsuspecting Imolites and members of the general public were suspended by majority members of the Council, yet they have continued their malpractice and deceit.
The formidable Group which represents twelve (12) out of eighteen (18) political parties across the country in the state stressed this while addressing newsmen after an emergency meeting held at the Council’s secretariat in Owerri on Thursday, January 5, 2023.

Elder Ahaneku speaking on behalf of the group stressed that the Council is being grossly impersonated by the suspended executive as they are not the recipients of the Yuletide largesse from the state Governor, Hope Uzodinma which included rice and other food items.

The G12 of Imo IPAC emphasized that the peace of Imolites remains paramount in their affairs and scheme of things hence the reason for not being part of the largesse adding that it is a gross act of misconduct and impersonation that calls for urgent caution and call to order.
“The group led by Eke is said to have collected rice, money and other items from the government but we say NO, because the peace and security of Imolites is more important to us”
“Imo IPAC wishes to use this medium to distance herself from the sharing largesse of the Christmas gift from Imo state Government to Imo IPAC which the Suspended IPAC Chairman in Imo, Ichie Levi Eke and his Secretary said to have collected to themselves and cornered to themselves, So this G12; we are outrightly not part of it”
The G12 equally decried the state of insecurity and its adverse effects on the state’s economy adding that in their strong resolve in equity and fairness they will hold a Security Summit two weeks before the 2023 elections proper to profer lasting solution to security challenges in the state.
The group however called on the Police, Military and other security stakeholders in the state to work in harmony to checkmate and arrest the menace, noting that IPAC which they mainly represent is a partner in progress and will not relent in doing the needful where peace, equity and fairness calls.
“Considering the state of affairs in Imo today and Nigeria at large, Imo IPAC G12 who strongly believes in the sanctity of give and take and rule of law, having resolved among others to carry out a proposed all political parties Imo state Peace and Security Summit tagged ‘Imo Security Summit’ because we are in an environment of rancor and disunity and absence of peace where there is nothing anybody can do”

“…And we hope to hold the Security Summit between January 5 to February 15, 2023. We therefore call on Imolites, political Stakeholders, political party candidates, religious leaders and heads of security Agencies because security is a business of all hence it is our mandate to make sure that we assist the Imo state government and the leaders of security agencies in Imo state in collaboration to make sure that all hands are on deck”
“Recently we heard all that has been happening in Imo state and the INEC is not spared both the one at the state and various local governments. People are being murdered and killed in cold blood in Imo State and we said Enough is Enough…”
“Every good citizen of Imo state should be part of this. It is our resolve for a peaceful and workable Imo state”
“We want to use this medium to engage the government and other Stakeholders of Imo state to disabuse the minds of people who are used to clapping when things are not done properly and with the ethics of professionalism and the ethics of the rule of law”
“We represent everything that has to do with equity and justice as well as the entire benefits of the generality of Ndi Imo and we are reliably informed that most workers in Imo state are being paid while others especially the teachers from Grade level O9 downwards and other categories are not being paid. We pray the Governor to look into the plights and suffering of these Imolites”
The G12 Leader, Ahaneku while noting that IPAC is a body of political parties, emphasized that the interest of Imo IPAC is to see a working Imo state and charged Imolites to vote wisely to ensure that people with the goodwill of the people wins at the polls.
“Seven weeks from now, we will be going to the polls and we charge Imolites to be meticulous about voting those that has credibility, impeccable character and esteem values. We want Imolites to votes people who will prioritize the good of the people at all strata.
Speaking also, the state Chairman of Young Progressives Party, YPP, Hon. Victor Diala stressed that the Imo IPAC G12 remains resolute in all their activities, adding that the right thing be done to have one face of Imo IPAC as six (6) members of the body cannot rule and overrule the affairs of the Council.

“…There is faction based on interest but that is why we remain resolute that the right have to be done because out of eighteen (18); you cannot be operating with only six (6) out of 18… Any moment from now, the matter will be taken care of”
Adding his voice, the state Chairman of African Democratic Congress, ADC, Barr. Ignatius Nlem noted that the criminal and corruption allegations against Ichie Levi Eke and some other members of Imo IPAC constitutionally bars anyone of them as well as any other individual from functioning as a public officer while citing rules and regulations of civil and public services.
He added that it outrightly out of order to have persons with attested criminal tendencies and acts to lead the organization hence the resolution of Imo IPAC G12 to have a change of leadership to move the body greater heights.
“In his capacity, if it is in civil service, as we have written the National; a letter will be written to the Head Office and he will be suspended until until investigation is tidied up”
“We are alleging strongly a criminal offence of impersonation, offence of opening an account to defraud both the organization and individuals in the state…it is fraudulent to use our name for any business interest…There is no way six people can form a quorum out of eighteen”
