Imo Guber: Why Samdaddy/Jones is Most Preferred
By Ikenna ONUOHA…

November 11, 2023 will be the D-Day for the most awaited Governorship election in the history of Imo state.
What is remarkable is that amongst those contesting the election, and their Deputies, the PDP Candidate, Samdaddy Anyanwu and Jones Onyereri posses the most traceable dossier capable of changing the current negative perception and situation in the state.
Not only that they are prepared, but they are so enthusiastic in the quest to rejig, reboot, revamp and to revive our state towards the direction of a prosperous society.
As Local Government Chairman of Ikeduru LGA, Samdaddy was christened “ACTION” and subsequently awarded by heads of security agencies in the state following his administrative foresight to eradicate insecurity in the LGA.
It can be recalled that prior to his assumption of office as Executive Chairman of the LGA, Ikeduru was rated as most vulnerable LGA with threatening security implications.
History has it that under him as Executive Chairman of Ikeduru, staff of the local government were the first in the entire state to receive their salaries every month without any unsubstantiated “story” of no monthly allocation.
He appointed several political Aides across the Wards and communities in Ikeduru LGA. This is simply without any ulterior motive, but genuinely targeted at given ample opportunities to every Ward and community to be represented in the LGA in line with the vision of creating LGA to bring government closer to the people.
Luckily, on assumption of duties, Samdaddy did a “magic” and the life threatening situation became a thing of the past.
At Imo state House of Assembly under two past Governors; Chief Ikedi Ohakim and Chief Rochas Okorocha. Samdaddy showed capacity and readiness to deliver on his duties.
While he became so vibrant leading to the successful passage of Bills after thorough scrutinization, Samdaddy was singled out at the Assembly and unanimously pronounced by his colleagues as “Aka Ekpuchi Onwa”.
During Rochas Okorocha as Governor, Samdaddy was also prominently featured in the Assembly and subsequently identified as the leader of the “three wise men”.
All these accolades and nick-names were to capture and reflect his sagacious legislative footprints and contributions geared towards the development of Imo state.
The question now is; if Samdaddy could perform creditably well as a State Lawmaker, how much more when he becomes the Governor of Imo state?
Not reviewing his antecedent at the Senate, where he made Imo people proud as a first timer that was given a robust Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions in the midst of older “timers”. How he was able to screen his Senior colleagues including, past Governors, Ministers, Ambassadors, Deputy Governors, former Speakers and so on remain a “magic” even the writer is struggling to explain.
Those attacking him because he is the Governorship Candidate of PDP today know that he is as clean as a crystal, but only working towards distabilizing him and his vision to make Imo Safe Again. Our consolation is that those championing the negative cause against him are not God.
But do they know that they are not God? This is why all their efforts to stop him with mere fabrication of lies and empty propaganda has no bearing nor power or locus to weigh him down from his pursuit for a better and safer Imo!
A vote for Samdaddy is simply a vote for the joy, happiness, unity, peace, development, emancipation, security, business boom and economic liberation of the people and Imo state at large.
Therefore, come and join hands: Lets make Imo Safe Again in our Time!
