Imo Guber: TJ Ehirim Joins Labour Party In Grand Style, Donates 18-Seater Bus To Party

One of the frontline governorship aspirants in Imo state, and renowned Industrialist, Tobechukwu Justice Ehirim popularly known as TJ Ehirim on October 12, 2022 joined Labour Party, LP alongside his team amidst accolades as he donated an 18-Seater Hummer Bus to the state Chapter of the party.

The event which could be best described as ‘triumphant entry of TJ Ehirim into Labour party started with a road walk across Wethedral road amid jubilations.

TJ Ehirim while addressing party officials, members and teeming supporters at the party Secretariat, stressed the need for a better Imo and a better Nigeria at large with himself as Governor as well as Peter Obi as President if elected alongside other well meaning Nigerians seeking election, adding that “Let the best of us lead the rest of Us”

He said the solidarity match for Peter Obi and the reason for joining the party is borne out of his undying love and commitment to offer and support the best for the state and for the country at large having known what true governance entails in Diaspora as well as knowing Peter Obi over time as an examplary, detrabalized and goal getting leader.

In his words, “I have come with my people to show solidarity to our brother, the best in our time, the best in this generation; Mr Peter Gregory Obi who is contesting under Labour Party to become our next President …A lot of your children are scattered all over the world, eager to come back home but have not been able because our country is in a messy state…Peter Obi has come out, so do not be afraid again but come out en masse let’s support him”

“Faith without work is a dead faith, so we don’t want to just speak but to back it all up with action with all we can… We me and members of Project TJ Ehirim Worldwide, we believe that in this generation that if Imo state is better, then Nigeria will be better”

The Imo born finest Pharmacist, Ehirim who thanked the party for warm reception emphasized that the long awaited time to change the ugly narrative has come and called on Imolites and Nigerians ar large especially youths to contribute their quota to get to the promised land of fulfilling dreams hence he donated an 18-Seater Toyota Hummer Bus to Imo Labour party for ‘run arounds and electioneering’

“We have tried Nepotism; Nepotism failed us, Tried Tribalism; Tribalism failed us. We have tried Zoning; zoning did not help us, Tried Corruption and Corruption killed our children. We want our children to live better than us. We are saying now that we have found the best: we don’t want to know who is the mother and father but as long as he us a Nigerian, let the best of us lead the rest of us”

“Since I was born, we have not seen somebody who has done what Peter Obi has done in Nigeria. I want people to support Peter Obi so that the days of meal tickets in Universities will come back instead of endless strikes….”

“As a result of that, myself with my team have decided to come and identify with Peter Obi with a token of a bus to give to Labour party to use to be running around for security and logistics”

Recieving the bus donation, the National Vice Chairman of Labour Party, Innocent Okeke alongside the Imo state Chapter Chairman, Chief Ambrose Onyekwere thanked TJ Ehirim for coming to the need of the party in the state noting that “It is the First Time, the state Chapter is getting a bus donation”

The National VC, Innocent Okeke charged the party leaders, members and supporters to continue being proactive towards unmasking the evil plots of opposition and mischief makers across the country and ensuring that the party and its candidates emerge victorious at the polls.

“I welcome you all for coming to identify with Labour party and I assure you that our coming together will bring progress to each and everyone of you. It is not enough making noise on the streets, the work has started …Now is the time to go deep and make sure that what we say is what we actualize because we are dealing with old crooks”

“Let us not be distracted by the euphoria of noise here and there into believing that we have already won but do more works at the grassroot levels …Let’s be vigilante; See Something, Say Something”

Reiterating further, the state party Chairman, Chief Onyekwere called on all Stakeholders in the party to solidly man their positions in the forthcoming elections to stamp out corruption and rot in the system, adding that the party is fully prepared to take the best to the people.

In view of the above, Onyekwere offered the party’s registration cards to TJ Ehirim and entourage for proper entrance into the party, noting that it is the party’s way of expressing appreciation and acceptance into the party, while praying for all round success.
