Imo Guber: Orluzurume Youths Denies Endorsing Any Candidate, Describes Endorsement of Chief Odunzeh as Fake

ORLUZURUMEE YOUTHS DENIES ENDORSING ANY GUBER CANDIDATE FOR IMO STATE NOVEMBER 11

Imo

  • Cautions the National Secretary of the Association.

The Orluzurumee Youths, the authentic and recognized umbrella body for the whole youths of Orlu Zone, have distanced itself from the purported endorsement of the governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in the November 11 Gubernatorial elections in Imo state, Chief Ben Odunzeh, describing it as “madness and against the Ideology of Orluzurumee, a non-political and only recognized Cultural Union of Orlu Zone”

The union stated this in a press release issued by the National President of Orluzurumee Youths, Prince Arthur Madumere on Monday August 14, 2023 and signed by the National Publicty Secretary of Orluzurumee, Comrade Ogbonna Collins alongside the Financial Secretary, Engr. E.C. Ukatu and Director of Transport, Hon. Okechukwu Osinachi
.

The release as signed by the Executive members of the organization denied knowledge of the endorsement hence called for disciplinary action on the National Secretary, Comrade Desmond Ugwumba 2honis reportedly fingered in the sole and misleading endorsement without the knowledge and approval of the National Executive Council or the General Assembly.

“This is even as the group has directed her National Secretary, Comrade Desmond Ugwumba, to report himself to the Disciplinary Committee set up by the body to give account of the events leading to the recently widely read purported endorsement in the media by our organization, the ORLUZURUMEE YOUTHS, without the agreement of the National Executive Council nor the General Assembly”

According to the national President of Orluzurumee Youths, Comrade Arthur Madumere; the group have not endorsed any guber candidate rather they will do the needful after proper consultations and verification of the candidates.

The press release therefore dissociated the group from the endorsement while warning “political buccaneers and mercenaries to steer clear of the body”, adding that the group’s concern is how to better the lives of the Imo people.

“The National Executive Council of ORLUZURUMEE YOUTHS led by Prince Arthur Madumere on the wake of 11th August, 2023 after an emergency NEC meeting held in respect of the faceless, shameless, purported governorship endorsement, dissociates the name ORLUZURUMEE YOUTHS from it and warns political buccaneers and mercenaries to steer clear of the body”

“We remain non-political and a socio-cultural union with the cardinal objective of fostering unity and development in our zone”

“ORLUZURUMEE!
