A News Commentary on late Hon. Justice Chinonyerem Onii Egbunine, an Amazon and a pacesetter.
Justice Chinonyerem Onii Egbunine was an epitome of all-round beauty , who hailed from Umuahia in Abia state Nigeria and got married to Chief Onii Egbunine, a renowned politician of blessed memory from Obazu Mbieri in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo state Nigeria. The Marriage was blessed with the blessings of the Almighty God..
Justice Chinoo was the Brain-child behind the Child’s Right Act which has been domesticated into Law in more than Twenty Five States including Imo State – Child’s Right Law 2004 of Imo State . She championed the establishment of the Family Court of Imo State which has Magistrate and High Court Sections). A Pioneer Chief Magistrate of the said Court before her elevation to a High Court Judge in Imo state in 2016. She served in Orlu high court before her untimely death .
Justice Chinoo never underrated anybody regardless of the person involved. A seasoned Judge that never used her position to intimidate nor suppress the downtrodden. Your humility can never be over emphasized, You gave anyone that came across you sense of belonging , recognition and importance. Milord Chinoo was a role model that can never be forgotten easily. She understood the world and tried her best to follow it at its pace, even when she knew her right, she would rather look upon God for a perfect intervention.
Death is said to be inevitable, but no human being has right to question the Almighty God, Who creates and also takes at His time. No wonder the book of Ecclesiastes made it clear that everything on earth has a season; a time to born, time to grow, time to be old, time to marry, time to study, time to pray, time to die etc.

Milord, your death is like a mark in the palm. A mark that causes sorrow and pain in one’s life whenever sees; your death has created a vacuum in the lives of many Creatures of God. Your good deeds can never be easily erase in the hearts of many . Travel well Milord to the land beyond. I love you Milord Chinoo and will continue to love you but God Who loves you most, has given you a better rest in His bosom. As you will be laid to rest on Thursday, 2nd December 2021, may the Angels of God carry you to the bosom of God.
Good night Milord Chinoo, Epitome of beauty! we will meet to part no more.
