Imo FA Assures Heartland GM of Members Unflinching Support

Members of Imo State Football Association have assured the General Manager of Heartland Football Club, Chief Chukwudi Ifeanyi of the body’s unflinching support as he hold sway in the Football Club.
The assurance was given to the General Manager when he visited the Association’s office at the Dan Anyiam Stadium Owerri to intimate them of his appointment and present to them his letters of appointment and contract as required by the laws governing the game.
Presenting the documents to the body, Chief Ifeanyi said his action is in keeping with the rules of football across the globe, adding that the state Football Associations are partners in progress the reason his first port of call was the Association’s office since after his appointment and assured them that they would remain the club’s partners in the effort to return it to its glory days.
He appealed to them to always assist the club in its effort to ensure it covers lost grounds before the commencement of the new league season.
Receiving the documents on behalf of the association, the Chairman technical committee and acting Chairman of the body’s Organizing Committee, Mr Ndubuisi Opara commended the General Manager for recognizing the role of the association in the administration of football the world over and pledged their commitment to give him all necessary support he needs to succeed.
Mr Opara urged him to try to reconcile all football stakeholders in the state to ensure a cordial working relationship with them, adding that it is important he makes peace and stability his watch word.
The secretary of Imo FA, Mr Goddy Ndudi expressed delight over the decision of the state government to rest the lingering disagreement in the club and urged Mr Ifeanyi to brace up to the challenges ahead.
The presentation of the General Managers appointment and contract documents to the state football body is part of the requirement to officially inform them of his appointment for onward presentation to the national federation as the one in charge of the state owned Football club Heartland of Owerri.
