Holy Ghost College Owerri Class of 94 Joyfully Celebrates 25th Anniversary

Holy Ghost College, Owerri, Imo State, Class of 1994, had joyfully celebrated her 25 Years Anniversary.
The Holy Ghost College, Owerri Class of 1994 celebrated her Silver Jubilee at the College Campus amidst jubilation and thanksgiving to God Almighty for keeping them and bringing them together to hobnob and chat a positive way forward.
Cultural Dance Group of the College danced including comedy talk by MC Emperor to entertain the audience.
Cake was blessed and cut and eaten in one love and progress of the Class of 94 who vowed to keep the organization afloat, with the Principal of the College, Rev Father Samuel Agu making the opening prayer after the Angelus.
Making an opening remarks, VP Leadership of the Holy Ghost College, Owerri Class of 1994, Arc Chukwunonso Nnaji, pleasurably welcomed the gathering to the 25th Anniversary of the Graduation of the 1994 Set of Holy Ghost College, Owerri and thanked God for availing them the opportunity for the celebration despite economic and security challenges in the country.
Nnaji, who recounted that “this event started as a mere words some months ago”, reflected that “as 94 grade set of Holy Ghost College, Owerri coupled with the selfless of her leadership team the mere words materialized into this enviable event of today”, maintaining that such a feat “underscores the need for unity and a heart to serve by every member for optimal results in all our endeavors”.
Nnaji added that the organization had begun the construction of an Ultramodern Bathroom and Toilet Facility, saying the facility would relieve over 200 students of the college.
“The project is aimed at improving the living standards of the Boarding, as well as the Day- Students in the school”, Nnaji added.
Urging the group to keep the tempo afloat while forging ahead to assisting humanity and the school in their capacity, Principal of the Holy Ghost College, Owerri, Rev Father Samuel Agu, begged God to help the group to complete the project they have at hand while soaring higher in its endeavors.
Speaking on “Roles of Social Media on Youth Education”, first Guest Speaker, Mr Tobechukwu Iwuji, advised students to positively use the social media so that they advance in their studies to enable them become fruitful and better persons after their schooling.
Just as Mr Ikechukwu Maduforo, the second Guest Speaker, who dwelt on “Peer Pressure Among Secondary School Students”, instructed students to be mindful of peer group they keep so that they would not be negatively influenced, harping that positive peer influence is germane to helping them calve a better future for themselves.
The highlight of the event was the launch of brochure for the organization.
The Class of 94 climaxed her 25th Anniversary with a visit to the Holy Family Orphanage Home, Owerri, Imo State.
Teachers of the College, Baba Ali, an Old Student of the college and other invitees graced the memorable occasion.
