“Gov Uzodinma Will Deliver Better Beyond Expectations, Give Him a Chance” -Senator Nwagwu Enjoins Imo People

Senator Matthew Nwagwu has assured Imo people that His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma will deliver the dividend of democracy to the people as the governor of Imo State.

Senator Nwagwu, who represented Okigwe senatorial zone from 2011 to 2015, stated this shortly after a meeting of Imo stakeholders with Governor Uzodimma on Monday, at the Sam Mbakwe expanded Exco Chambers, Government House, Owerri.

Nwagwu said Senator Uzodimma’s wide contact within and outside the country would afford him the opportunity to attract much development to the state.

He said Senator Uzodimma, while in the Senate, made a lot of useful contributions that helped to bring development into the state.

Nwagwu, also former African Ambassador, World Trade Centre in Geneva, Switzerland, urged Imo people to give the governor a chance to deliver the dividend of democracy assuring that the Hope he know would definitely deliver.

He commended the governor on the way and manner he handled the #ENDSARS Protest in Imo as well as his proactiveness in imposing the curfew which helped in controlling the rate of destruction in Imo.

He appealed to Imolites to advice their subjects on the need to desist from destroying government properties in the state.

The former ambassador also advised the youths to listen to the call by Senator Uzodimma to stop the protest and embrace the youth empowerment programmes rolled out by the Imo State Government.

In addition, as a
mark of good will, he urged Imo Youth to take advantage of the two billion Naira youth empowerment programme released by the governor to engage themselves and better their lives, Nwagwu reiterated.

Nwagwu called on the governor to always have a listening ear, and try as much as he could to put smiles on the faces of Imo workers and pensioners.

He enjoined other political office holders, especially members of the Houses of Assembly and Representatives to give dividends of democracy to th eir various constituencies and wards to restore electorate confidence on them.
