God Answers Prayer –says Evang. Bethran Uzodinma
It was a proof of faith of the Word of God last week Sunday as Strong Tower Family of Anglican Church of the Holy Spirit, in control Owerri celebrated their annual Family Day.
The group which was full of great joy over the works of God in their lives set the day aside to commemorate their anniversary.
Speaking a sermon on the theme; Ask Of Me, the guest preacher for the service, Evangelist Bethran Uzodinma assured Christians of the power of God in answering the prayers of His children, stressing the need to live a good life by the word of God.
He hinted that no man can receive from God unless he or she identifies with him apart from universal blessings that God gives saying that it is the Lord’s will and wish to give his children what thay asked or requested.
He expressed disappointment at the low level of faith amongst children of God saying that God’s blessings is hidden in his words and encouraged Christians to be firm in the word of God and never give up as there is no better place than being in the presence of God.
Evangelist Uzodinma who further advised Christians not to cage themselves with evil traditions, worried that people read Bible with tradition either church or community and warned against limiting God in their life.
Explaining his desire in giving, Evang. Bertran Uzodinma said it came out of passion because of his past experiences as he once experienced poverty and by the grace of God the doors of favour opened for him.
He also said that he derived joy seeing people being happy again while giving he plants the spirit of God in a life that received showing him or her that God through that person cares.
He maintained that one can help another to come out of poverty because God said “Ask of Me”
Speaking also at the event, an APC candidate for Imo State house of Assembly for Ohaji/Egbema State constituency, Chief Dr Francis Uzoma Osuoha who is one of the awardees on the event expressed gratitude to God and members of the Strong Tower family of the church for the honor given to him as an Ambassador of Christian faith.
He also said that he never expected the award as that was the fourth time he is receiving such an award from Anglican Church having being from Roman Catholics faith background and attributed it to God’s way of recognizing his good works to people and his community Ohaji/ Egbema.
On his vision for 2023, Osuoha advised his constituents to open their eyes and vote credible candidates which he thinks he is the person to deliver dividend of democracy to his people, saying that for the past years now Ohaji/ Egbema local government have been in a state of comatose because people who were representing them have not done much.
Appreciating God for his mercies and love towards his children, the chief host of the celebration Rev’d Canon Engr. M.C Arimanwa(PhD) who is the priest in-charge of the Anglican church of the Holy Spirit, in control and the host, Rev’d Obioma Ashiegbu thanked all the awardees for their support and their love of the things of God as well as the Strong Tower family for their day and prayed God to bless and strengthen them more in His service.
Expressing gratitude to God for the celebration, the chairman of the planning committee for the Strong Tower anniversary 2022 Dr. Ugochukwu Iwuji and his deputy Vivian Asika who also read the second lesson during the service thanked God for his mercy and love towards the successful celebration of the family day and thanked in a special way all their invitees and award recipients for honoring God to support his work and prayed God to bless them.
Our reporter said that the highlight of the celebration was the presentation of awards to the recipients including Evangelist Uzodinma and Chief Dr Francis Uzoma Osuoha, the APC candidate for Ohaji/Egbema State consistency.
