FIDA, Imo Branch Elects New Officers …As They Are Charged For Greater Achievements

Last week, Imo state branch of the International Federation of Women Lawyers, FIDA elected new members of executive.
The newly elected members of the executive are Phil Amaefule, Chairperson; Chioma Iwueze, Vice Chairperson; Julisna Moses, Secretary; Vivian Otti, Assistant secretary; Omenukwa Chinyere, Treasurer; Princess Ngozi Anyanwu, Financial Secretary; Dr Chikaodi Onyeanwuna, Publicity secretary; Amarachi Ike, Welfare officer.
FIDA is a Non governmental, Non profitable organisation made up of women lawyers involved in the promotion, protection and preservation of rights of women and children.
It was formally established in 1944 in Mexico and was introduced in Nigeria in 1964.
The newly elected officers were charged to steer the association towards further achievements in promoting the rights of women, children and the vulnerable in the society.
It should be recalled that the new FIDA Publicity Secretary in Imo, Dr Chikaodi Onyeanwuna was recently awarded with an honorary doctorate degree, a Doctor of Philosophy Ph.D (Honoris Causa) in International Law and Criminology by the British American University, Florida USA in recognition of her academic records and professional qualifications.
