Epileptic Power Supply In Nigeria: Oguomah, Electrical Power Specialist Ready To Proffer Solutions With Foreign Partners
By Chinedu Max Egere…

The technical challenges in the Nigeria power sector that have entailed lingering epileptic power supply in the entire Nation may come to an end with expert solutions to the mess if the reports reaching our news desk are anything to go by.
A Nigerian Electrical Power Specialist cum Consultant, Henry Oguomah has indicated full readiness to end the age- long power failure with his foreign partners in electrical power system if he gets the nod of the Federal Government.
Worried by the national adverse effects of the failed power supply which have slowed the pace of Nigeria socio-economic activities to a large extent and have put Nigerians in dilemma, the Nigerian Electrical Power Specialist has opted to intervene with his foreign partners if they get a clear coast from the Presidency via the Presidential Taskforce on Power.

Sources have revealed that Henry Oguomah’s company and his foreign partners would, if contracted for this purpose, institute monitoring solutions in order to provide a holistic support to the power Grid helping it to avoid premature or unforeseen transformer failure by alerting grid operators to the onset of any incipient fault when they start.
The preventive approach has also been reported to be shown to extend the life of Transformers by as much as 20%.
If given the opportunity, according to the specialist, they would put on transformer sensors (Gridscan 6000) that detect Hydrogen and Moisture in the presence of transformer liquids and would also measure and report on the transformer pressure and oil temperature.
Their sensors can also be applicable to solar Grids battery storage rooms to regulate temperature and dictate hydrogen leakage that can cause catastrophic damage that could lead to unexpected Grid collapse and when installed in the transformers can last for 20 years with maintenance free status.
He assured that installation of some equipment would be done by the local team after their trainings by the international partners and reports have shown that the Nigerian consultant has been in this field of power system and control, operations and support services for about 35 years.
Their services would target market for solar Grids, Rural electrification agency and many more.
His versed experience in this area of endeavour has been widely noted to be attractive to such interventions in the power systems, control and maintenance of MV/HV transmission substation transformer switchgear installations.
Reports have indicated that as a Consultant,he has managed and implemented a lot of power projects within the telecom and power sector and that he has worked with reputable companies in the past years in Nigeria among which include Reliance Telecommunications Ltd operating as ZOOMmobile at a period where he was saddled with the challenging management responsibility of heading the technical team that deployed zoom mobile cellular networks in the South East Region of Nigeria.
