Fight Against “Mkpurumiri”, Obodo Amaimo Moves to Checkmate the Menace
…Directs the PG to flush out the consumers out of community.
Worried by the menace of the dreaded killer hard drug Mkpurumiri, the traditional ruler of Obodo Amaimo autonomous community, HRH Eze Victor Achionye, Udo 1 of Obodo Amaimo and the Eze in council have directed the President General of the community, mr Placid Ugoji to flush out the consumers of the drug out of the community.
This decision was taken during the cabinet meeting of the Council on Saturday Nov. 27, 2021 at the palace of the traditional ruler in Obodo Amaimo.
The Council members observed that the rate at which the youths are consuming the dreaded hard drug now if nothing is done to checkmate the menace, the life and future of our youths will be a story.
The Council therefore after looking at the issue directed the President General of the community to fish out any one involved in the business of selling and consuming the dreaded hard drug or involved in any criminal act in the community. Such person or persons should be handed over to the security agencies and his or her property destroy in the community.
The Council promised to give the President General all the necessary assistance in handling this enormous assignment.

The Council also directed all people and landlords in the community to submit the names and occupation of tenants living in their houses to the office of the President General within one month to enable the community have census of all the people living in the community and their profession.
Among the Council members who attended the meeting which was presided by the traditional ruler of Obodo Amaimo, Eze Victor Achionye include, the traditional prime minister of the community, chief Christian Akujobi and chief Chris Akaraonye, the special adviser to the traditional ruler and chairman of Imo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ.
