EndSARS: OYC President, Igboayaka Blast Buhari Over Freezing Account of Alleged EndSars Protest Promoters
Alisigwe Nkemdirim, OWERRI.
The National President of Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC), Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka has blasted Gen.Muhammadu Buhari and the Nigerian judiciary over the freezing of suspected #EndSARS promoters’ bank accounts.
Speaking at Enugu on Sunday November 8, the OYC President asked FG to cite a constitutional provision of such act, while describing it as an act capable of throwing Nigeria into a heavy political anarchy.
In a press release made available to this newspaper by the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the National President, Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC), Chukwuemeka Chimerue, states that Igboayaka said it is not only inhuman to freeze one’s account but also undemocratic without any investigation and fair hearing from the alleged #EndSARS promoters.
He stressed that “With the act of freezing the alleged #EndSARS promoters account, the Buhari government has demonstrated no remorse and sincerity to tackle the unfortunate incident of over 500 innocent Nigerian youths extra-judicially murdered by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad(SARS).
Igboayaka pointed out it was an indication that the Nigerian government have taken the youths for granted, warning that the judiciary and FG at large have touched a sleeping lion.
He noted that this tyrannical act of Buhari have tempted the Nigerian youths for a massive protest that will rock the nation, twice than the #EndSARS protest.
The dogged youth Leader warned the Nigerian judiciary to unfreeze the accounts before Nigerian youths launch #EndJudiciary, querying why the accounts of those sponsoring Boko Haram, bandits and Fulani herdsmen attacks have not been discovered and frozen by the CBN.
Igboayaka maintained that the Nigerian government actions against EndSARS promoters have revealed that the killing of Nigerians youths by SARS operatives was a state sponsored crime.
He regretted that these political profiteers, shenanigans instead of working hard to meet the demands of the Nigerian youths for a sustainable development to quench youths restiveness, they have rather resorted to political bravado that will sink the country.
The OYC leader noted that Buhari and his cabals in Aso Rock are working against Nigeria’s survival, noting that there is no policy of the president targeted at bringing peace in the country, but fueling more crisis that will see an end to the Nigerian state.
Igboayaka warned that the 2nd wave of #EndSARS protest will be a democratic revolution and certainly would be deadly and devasting for Nigeria. She would not survive it as the Police and Army can no longer fight for politicians but justice for the people.
He said, there will be a socio-political earthquake in Nigeria, that will make millions of Nigerian youths to hit on the road as corruption has eaten deep in the Nigerian system under this current administration.
He warned Buhari that no amount of intimidation or the number of barrel of guns will force the Nigerian youths to chicken out of all their legitimate pursuit and conduction in founding a new restructured Nigeria that will culminate in ending the age-long corrupt unitary system of government to true federalism.
