As Christians mark the resurrection of Jesus Christ from dead, indigenes of Assa and Obile autonomous communities, Ohaji/Egbema, Imo State, have been assured of better days through good representation.

This assurance of better days and good living through solid representation, was made by Engr. Stanley Onyiriuka, Transition Committee Member for Assa/Obile Ward, Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area Council, while chatting with our reporter, on Saturday, in Owerri.

He wished his people well as they celebrate Easter, saying the joy of salvation which the Lord Jesus Christ brought to mankind shall always illuminate in their lives so that righteousness will continue to be the order of every season.

Onyiriuka, who has been in the vanguard of charting a positive course to add to the peace, development and progress of Awarra Court Area in particular and Ohaji/Egbema as a whole, reiterated his resolve for effective and exceptional leadership to help enhance existing peace, cordiality and economic prosperity at his Ward.

“I appreciate the people of Assa and Obile Ward for their outpour of love upon my appointment and inauguration. I firmly assure you that my service to you shall be an all-inclusive system as all hands must be on deck in order to sustain peace that will usher in development in our area. Under my watch, the youth will be properly positioned. Both men and women will be carried along. All aggrieved indigenes should bury their hatchets for the progress of Assa and Obile Electoral Ward.

“Coming together to champion a positive course to our area is a collective task to all indigenes of Assa and Obile so that we advance better living opportunities while harnessing our God- given resources and talents. Hence, I am wishing you happy Easter Celebration”, Onyiriuka maintained.

On Coronavirus Pandemic which debilitates the World, Onyiriuka however advised the people to keep hope alive in the face of challenges saying “people of Assa and Obile Ward do not panic, but trust in God for guidance and sustenance, and continue to abide by the directives of the Imo State Government by always keeping hygiene: washing your hands with soap including staying two (2) metres away from any person with symptom of respiratory as coughing and sneezing in order to stay safe”.

Onyiriuka, while praying to God to continue to have mercy on the World and Mankind so that the Coronavirus Pandemic stops soon and permanently too, extolled Governor Hope Uzodimma for his sterling effort to help prevent outbreak of the scourge in Imo State.
