DNKI President Lauds ‘Shared Prosperity Govt’, Unveils 2020 International Converge Logo of Denorsemen Kclub

The International President of DeNorsemen Kclub Incorporated, Chief (Dr) Adeshola Giwa has commended Governor Hope Uzodinma led Shared Prosperity Government in Imo State for his selfless efforts towards total Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Recovery of the state.
Chief (Dr) Giwa who made the commendation in Owerri while unveiling the 2020 International Converge logo of the Kclub on Sunday, 23rd August 2020, expressed happiness over Governor Hope Uzodinma’s zeal and dedication towards transforming Imo state into a model modern state, pointing out that the state is gradually wearing a better new look.
He urged the Governor to ensure he sanitize and digitalize Imo state civil servants salaries and pension scheme to reduce the present sufferings of serving and retired Government workers in the state, adding that the Governor actually has the interest of the state at heart.
Dr Giwa who used the opportunity to call on Imolites, especially members of Denorsemen Kclub in the state to close ranks and support the present administration in the state towards realising its policies, projects and programmes, further reminded Governor Uzodinma to create the enabling environment that will attract more industries to the state, stressing that Owerri is now the tourism hub of South East.
Speaking on the 2020 International Converge which will take place in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Chief (Dr) Giwa said the Klcub will continue to obey and observe all directives given by NCDC, PTC and other Government agencies during and after the International Converge.
According to him, “This year International Converge will start on 8th of December and end on 13th of December 2020. It is going to be a special converge. The activities will include official visitations to Akwa Ibom state House Of Assembly, the Governor of the state, Police Commissioner, and Royal Fathers.”
“This year converge will involve secular sports activities and other indoor sports activities. Participants for the sports activities will register through the Kclub portal and all the sports activities will hold at the Kclub House in Akwa Ibom state. We will have gala and awards night, our public lecture is being sponsored by World Health Organization and WHO has given pass for the lecture. This year Converge will witness raffle draws which will involve two SUV cars. On Sunday, there will be a special boat cruise for members”.
” It is expected that the converge will cost between 19 – 20 million naira, and participants will participate in the one week activities from all over the World.”
Giwa further called on the Kclub members, Governments and Corporate bodies to support and partner with the Kclub towards successful hosting of this year international Converge.
“Help us and let make the converge a success for the interest of the Society, the Kclub and its members worldwide.”
“There will be Scholarship awards to members of the Kclub who are pursuing PGD programme and scholarship awards to children of the members of the Kclub in the Universities”
In his remarks, Director, South East of the Kclub, Comrade Okenwa Nnachi Uka J P Commended the National President for his selfless efforts towards repositioning of the Kclub and assured him the Southeast members of the Kclub will Continue support the converge that will take place at Akwa Ibom.
He described DNKI as a Kclub deeply involved in humanitarian services to humanity, adding that the Kclub will continue to do its best towards a better a society, pointing that this year international Converge is going to be a six star programme.
The Guvnor of the Kclub in Imo State, Elder Obiora Nwigwe in his welcome address commended the National leadership of the Kclub for the confidence and trust they have in Imo state patrol, adding that the hosting of unveiling of the Kclub logo in Owerri was a mark of respect and trust.
He said, “This year Theme which is ‘Navigating through the storms of the pandemic’ is a good one. It is a heart full of joy, we are found worthy to host the unveiling of the logo for this singular honour, we want to say thank to the National President. Imo state is the place of love, unity and progress,” adding that members should remember the vision of the Kclub”.
The Elders Council Chairman of the Kclub in Imo state, Engr Okenze Chidi in his vote of thanks, call on members of the Kclub to sustain and practice the vision of brotherly love and support the hosting of National converge in Akwa Ibom state, expressing profound gratitude to the International president, Dr Adeshola Giwa for the confidence he has on Imo state patrol.
