Cristiano Ronaldo ‘destroyed my Champions League dreams’ – Juventus star Giorgio Chiellini

Ronaldo was of course representing Real Madrid when he left Juve veteran Chiellini heart-broken.
And the 34-year-old defender is unsurprisingly relieved that the five-time Ballon d’Or is now on the same team as him.
No team has lost more European Cup and Champions League finals than the Bianconeri.
Juventus have been losing finalists seven times, including their last five appearances.
The 2017 final in Cardiff saw Ronaldo and Real run riot against the Serie A giants, Los Blancos running out 4-1 winners.
Chiellini has lifted the Scudetto six times as Juve captain but becoming a European champion has so far escaped him.
The veteran said: “Before Cristiano came to us, he scored many goals against us.
“He destroyed my dreams in Cardiff, Turin and Madrid.”

Ronaldo moved from Real to Juve for £99m in the summer with the aim of bringing the Champions League trophy to Turin.
The Old Lady face Atletico Madrid when the competition return in February.
And Chiellini, who rates Ronaldo above rival Lionel Messi, says Ronaldo has brought a new impetus to the club.
Chiellini continued: “So far, the Champions League was just a dream, now it’s a goal because Cristiano is the best player in the world, and we need that to go the last step.
