China, North Korea Strengthen Ties

North Korean state-run television on Saturday aired its full video coverage of China’s President Xi Jinping’s two-day visit to Pyongyang.

China, North Korea To Strengthen Ties
In a 69-minute-long video, Xi was seen holding a fifth summit meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and attending various activities including laying of flowers at the friendship tower.

Xi left Pyongyang on Friday ending the first by a Chinese leader in 14 years.

During the trip, Xi and Kim agreed to build on their countries’ friendly relations whatever the international situation.

China is North Korea’s only major ally and xi’s visit was aimed at bolstering the isolated country against pressure from United Nations sanctions over its nuclear and missile programs and stalled denuclearization talks with the United States.
