Canon Onukwugha Buries Step Father Friday 28th October
The remains of Elder Statesman and Community leader, Elder Christopher C. Onukwugha of Omuoparaji kindred, Umunumo, Amuzari in Isiala Mbano local Government area of Imo State will be committed to mother earth on Friday October, 28th, 2022.
In a release issued by the family, Elder Onukwugha’s burial rites will commence on Monday 24th October, 2022 with praying and fasting by all family members and in-laws.
On Tuesday 25th October 2022, there will be an outreach service for Widows and less privileged at Onukwugha’s Compound Umunumo Amuzari by 1pm.
Wednesday October 26, memorial lecture in honour of the deceased at his village Hall, Umunumo Amuzari by 11.00am.
The Theme of the lecture is “Living a Fulfilled Life, a life Vision of Elder Christopher C. Onukwugha, to be delivered by Chief Barrister G.I Ijeoma, a retired permanent Secretary of the Imo State civil service.
On Thursday 27th October, a visit to late Elder Christopher Onukwugha’s maternal home, Umujokwaraji, Umuagwuruihe, Amuzari by 3.00pm to 6.00pm followed by a praise Night at Onukwugha’s Compound 9.00pm till dawn. The praise Night will feature Evangelist Cornelius A.K.A (Mmiri Ndu).
Friday October 28th, 2022 by 8.00am the body of Elder Christopher Onukwugha will leave Aladinma mortuary, Owerri to his Compound at Umunumo Amuzari in a motorcade, at 10.00am the body will lie in state in his country home, Umunumo Amuzari.
Funeral service will start at 11.00am by Evangelical Life Church at Onukwugha’s Compound. 1.00pm interment in his Compound and reception will follow immediately by 2.00pm.
Reception continues on Saturday October 29th at his Compound.
The release stated that Family Thanksgiving will take place on Sunday 30th October which will include the foundation laying of the Church Building in honour of Elder Christopher Onukwugha.
Elder Onukwugha who was aged 90 years (ninety years) and survived by numerous relations including Rev. Canon Godson Onukwugha.
