Boat wreck: Saraki condoles with family of 19
Senate President, Bukola Saraki has condoled with the family of the 19 children, who reportedly drowned in a boat mishap on Saturday in Lafiagi, Edu Local Government Area of Kwara.

According to the report, the boat, the victims were being conveyed across River Niger for at a traditional wedding ceremony in a community in Niger state, when the sad incidence occurred.
One of the eyewitnesses said that the boat, conveying about 22 people mostly children capsized – Just two of the passengers were rescued, while the rest, drowned, as efforts to rescue others were futile.
In his message, Saraki, who was a two-term governor of Kwara state, prayed for quick recovery of the survivors.
“Today, my prayers go out to all the families affected by yesterday’s boat mishap at the ChewuChewururu Ferry Port in Lafiagi, Kwara State. As the community pulls together in the wake of this awful tragedy, I pray for the quick recovery of all the survivors”.
