Bleeding Scars By Prayerlife Nwosu, the Agony of Deborah Samuel
As the world continues to condemn the gruesome murder of Christian students of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, Sokoto state, Deborah Samuel, fast-rising poet, Ptayerlife Nwosu writes to pay tribute.

Bleeding Scars
I cried from the heat of a burning flame
Burning in agony they tagged lame
Stoning and beating was the game
Burning soul in a helpless pain.
The words of mine were scolded
The voice of mine was wounded
I was brutally mobbed to death
A forceful exit from earth.
My dear mortal fighters of God
Earthly warrior of the mighty Lord
I lie in my bloody pool under your rods
As my blood drips from your swords.
My life has been taken by my brothers
Who drank from the pool of murders
My friends watch from a distance
As I was pounced on with no resistance.
My coffin is flooded with my tears
Bloody flood, my coffin tears
As they have taken my life
Unto God I surrender my knife.
