APGA Denies Endorsing Izunaso For Orlu Senate

The Orlu Zonal leadership of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has said in clear terms that there was never a time the party in the zone endorsed the senatorial candidate of the APC, Osita Izunaso.

Speaking to newsmen in Owerri on Sunday, the Orlu Zonal Chairman of APGA and State Vice Chairman of the party, Chief Okechukeu Emeh, pointed out that APGA has an eminently qualified candidate for the Orlu senatorial seat, who is Chief Patrick Azuma. He, therefore, wondered why certain fifth columnists would begin to peddle falsehood about the party endorsing a candidate of another party.

According to Chief Emeh, “It is embarrassing to imagine that APGA, which today is the most credible and most acceptable party in Orlu Zone would think of endorsing a candidate from another party. Again, our party has the best candidate for Orlu Senate, who is Chief Patrick Azuma. He stands out in everything.

“I can confirm to you on the strength of my office that there was never a time the leadership of APGA in Orlu Zone met to discuss anything about endorsing another candidate. I am the Chairman of APGA in Orlu Zone. I suspect that some pretenders, conmen and fifth columnists might be somewhere ripping off some of unsuspecting candidates.

“To that effect, I warn these undertakers to desist from their mischief, while also calling on security agencies to investigate that very fallacious report with a view to bringing those behind it to book,” Chief Emeh said.
