Imo: Supreme Court Sacks Ihedioha as Governor, affirms Hope Uzodimma as Winner
ThankGod Emeh.

The Supreme Court has sacked Imo State Governor, Emeka Ihedioha and ordered that Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) be sworn in immediately.
The court, in a lead judgment by Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, was unanimous that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was wrong to have excluded some votes from the scores of Uzodinma.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Mr Ihedioha, a former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives winner of the governorship election in Imo Where it recorded that Ihedioha polled 273,404 ahead of his closest rival and candidate of the Action Alliance, Uche Nwosu, who the electoral body said scored 190,364 votes.
By the INEC result, the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Ifeanyi Ararume, came third with 114, 676 votes ahead of Hope Uzondinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who scored 96,458.
Eventually, on Tuesday, 14th January 2020, the Supreme Court gave a shocking judgment saying Mr Hope Uzodinma, who came fourth actually won the election and that he should be sworn in immediately.
Following the Supreme Court judgement, Mr Ihedioha is the first governor elected during the 2019 governorship elections to be so sacked.
