10 body language signs that confirms he likes you

Not sure if a guy likes you? Forget the words and pay attention to his body language, because that never lies.

It’s hard to tell how a guy feels based on his words. Men just aren’t as naturally verbal and expressive as most women are. When a guy likes you, he won’t necessarily come right out and say it. Maybe he’s shy, maybe he’s insecure, maybe he’s afraid of rejection, and so on. While he can hold back from saying the words, he won’t be able to control his body language, because a lot of the body language signs that mean he likes you are unconscious behaviors. Some are even reflexes and reactions that we can’t control even if we try.

Body language doesn’t lie and is the number one way to tell how someone feels about you.

1. He Can’t Help but Smile

When you’re around him, he smiles so much it looks like his face hurts. When we like someone, we are happy just to be around them. When we are happy, we smile! When he is into you, he’ll give you genuine, whole face smiles that will extend up to the corner crinkles of his eyes.  A fake smile will stop at the mouth.

2.  He Finds Ways to Touch You

When a guy likes you, you’re a magnet and he can’t resist the pull. He may put his hand on your shoulder, on the small of your back, brush your cheek, touch your knee, and so on. It’s not even conscious most of the time, he can’t help it!

He may find “innocent” ways to touch you that aren’t as overt as gentle caresses- maybe a thumb wrestling match, or a high-five that lingers a little too long, or any other game that involves a little touching. His touches can also be a way of testing the waters and seeing how you respond, which might tell him if you’re interested.

3.  He Makes Eye Contact

Eyes are the window to the soul. When we like someone, we will make eye contact to try to look into their soul. When you lock eyes, you build a high level of intimate connection with someone. In fact, it’s the highest amount of intimacy you can build without touching. A major sign that he likes you is if he’ll make eye contact with you from across the room, then look away, then reestablish eye contact.

4. He Stares at Your Face

Staring into someone’s eyes for too long can be creepy and uncomfortable. Instead, a guy who’s into you will take in your whole visage. He might do a circle of your face, staring at your lips, your cheeks, your forehead, and your eyes, then back around again. He also might especially hone in on your lips!

5.  He Does the ‘Eyebrow Flash”

What’s the eyebrow flash? If you see something or someone you like, chances are that your eyebrows raise reflexively. This is called the eyebrow flash. Men especially do this subconsciously when they are interested. It happens quickly, only taking a split second. Blink and you’ll miss it.

6.  His Palm is On Yours While Holding Hands

Wow, you’re holding hands! While this may seem like a huge step for you, it can also show just how much he is attracted to you. When he has his palm on yours, it’s a sign that he wants to get closer.

7.  He is Relaxed When You Touch Him

You’re sitting next to him and your legs touch, he doesn’t instinctively pull his away, he just stays there perfectly still and comfortable. When you’re interested in someone, you don’t mind when they violate your personal space a bit, and you welcome any form of touching from them.

When a guy likes a girl, he’ll stay relaxed, even when she reaches out to touch him.  He might even get closer to subconsciously invite more of your touching. People are normally protective when it comes to touching. If he is fully at ease when you touch him, it’s because he’s interested in you.

8.  He Blushes

His cheeks redden, he looks away. The blush is probably the easiest sign that he’s into you to spot. It’s also the hardest body language sign for him to hide. He may blush when you tease him, when you stare at him, or simply when you make eye contact. If he’s interested in you, it’ll be all over his rosy face.

9.  He Walks Next to You

It doesn’t matter if he was out jogging and ran into you or if he was sightseeing or exploring and saw you – he glues himself by your side. It has been scientifically proven that when a guy likes you, he’ll match your pace, whether it be slow or fast. Men adjust their speed to walk beside who they like… or love. Since humans walk efficiently to conserve energy, this is a major sign he’s into you.

10.  He Finds You Hilarious

It doesn’t matter what you say; he laughs at even your lamest jokes. He laughs when you do, even if what you find funny isn’t so funny. This sign happens because, like mirroring, he wants to make you like him. If you can make him laugh easily, there’s a sure bet that he likes you.
