Uche Nwosu will be governor come 2019, If it is God’s plan – Imo Government
The State Government has condemned the unsolicited pasting of the 2019 governorship campaign posters with the face of Chief of Staff Government House Owerri, Chief Uche Nwosu yesterday (25/08/2017) along the major streets of Owerri and in the social media.
A release by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sam Onwuemeodo says those behind the brazen act of frustration cowardice and envy are politicians from the State who have baseless and lingering governorship ambitions.
The release notes that their intention is to tarnish the reputation of Chief Nwosu
It also points out that the perpetrators had for more than one year invaded the social media, print and electronic media with the claim that Chief Uche Nwosu is for Governor in 2019.
The release explains that in their efforts to run the Chief of Staff down, they have succeeded in taking his name to the grassroots, adding that if it is the will of God that Chief Nwosu will be governor come 2019, no amount of blackmail will thwart God’s plan.
