Super Eagles will play with renewed vigour, passion and determination- Seyi Akinwumi ||| NEWS CORNER

The Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federal Seyi Akinwumi says the Super Eagles will play with renewed vigour, passion and determination when they confront Cameroun in a World Cup qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium Uyo on the 27th of August.

He said the Super Eagles defeat by South Africa would strengthen the team and make the players work very hard for the game against Cameroun, adding that Nigeria has quality but young players and a Coach that worth his onions.

Meanwhile, Akwa United will today (Wednesday 14/6/2017) battle Wikki Tourists in Uyo in a rescheduled Premier league match.

In the same vain, the Imo FA League competition will kick-off on Friday this week.

The Vice Chairman of Imo FA, Sir Emma Ochiagha while addressing representatives of the Seventeen Clubs participating in the competition after the draw at the FA office said the winner of the competition will qualify for the National Nation –Wide league.

In another development, Alhaji Tijjani Umar has been re-elected the President of the Nigeria Basket ball Federation.

In the election held in Kano on Monday, an International basket ball player Olumide Oyedeji was elected the Vice President of the Federation.

Sports Correspondent John Nwaogu reports that Tijjani has been the President of the Federation from 2013 to 2017.
